Analyzing the thermo-mechanics of deep volcanic processes and magma propagation to the surface, together with magma chemistry, the geologists determined that most of the magma rising from depth actually does not <a href=\"https:\/\/osbge.org\/index.php\/2021\/06\/21\/new-geochemical-study-confirms-cause-of-end-permian-mass-extinction-event\/\" >cause<\/a> a volcanic eruption.
