5 out of 5 stars Great value   January 30, 2010

I am a Canadian tax lawyer and purchased the US Master Tax Guide to get a basic introduction to US taxes (in conjunction with a copy of the Code).

The Guide is great value as it packs quite a lot of information into a relatively small book (considering the area covered - US taxes). The descriptions are easy to understand (again, considering the material being covered...) and examples are provided at appropriate parts.

Both theoretical bases for taxation as well as practical tips (i.e. Forms to file, filing due dates, annual exemption amounts etc.) are covered.

The Guide can be a useful companion to someone already well-versed in US taxes or to someone just wanting an overview.

I would recommend the Guide wholeheartedly.
